The lemonade piece - it is degated and sand blasted. The next step is to do the chasing and then figure out how to make it into lemonade since there is a little more pourocity than I was hoping for.

"drifting" When hands tell your story"
I believe you can tell a lot about a person by looking at their hands. With this thought I decided to add the hands to my found object (wirecloth) figurative sculpture I call "drifting". The figurative piece is a study of evolution in an urban environment and the struggle to stay present, in the moment or focused. Below are two views of the figures left hand. I hope his hands reflect the struggle

In this piece I mixed grits and twigs into my wax to get this rugged texture.

I used this drawing for last weeks 8 pieces. Each print is very different. I will post each piece in the order they were made and describe how I made them.
One of my favorite valentine gifts.
"happy dog I " monoprint. 11" X 15"
I started by applying the ink with a small brush to my 1/8" plate. The edges are beveled so the press will not cut the paper. I then used canola oil on my brush to thin some of the the ink. I then used a pencil to remove more ink.

More ink is removed by pressing the second piece then using a brush and sharp stick to make marks in the ink that is left.

After I pressed "happy dog I" I removed a little more ink and added marks by removing more ink with a sharp pencil and a brush. I immediately pressed the second piece.
